Volunteering in North Dakota
Anyway, I worked at YWCA Cass Clay while in the city.
The organization provides emergency shelter to women and children, while dedicated towards eliminating racism, empowering women, promoting peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all with a staff of employees, interns and volunteers who truly want to make a difference. I was fortunate enough for them to allow me to help out for the day.
I spent most of my time reorganizing the store they keep for the women staying at the shelter, providing them with the opportunity to shop for their children and for themselves. I also was able to help out with a little gardening and donation organization.
