Habitat for Humanity in Rockford, IL
I spent the day in Rockford Illinois tiling a bathroom and installing a kitchen's worth of cabinetry, under the guidance of volunteers who had spent 20 years with the organization and started the from-scratch build in May.
Here are a few photos from that morning:
There was a lot of relaxing, golfing, fun, and food. We went to see the farewell tour of Motley Crue with Alice Cooper, to Minhas Brewery, brewed some beer of our own with hops grown in the back yard, and watched my cousin Cameron win a golf tournament.
I originally planned to stay for only a week, but that was quickly extended to two and a half weeks with a day trip to Iowa City, Iowa mixed in.
Here are some highlights:

Alice Cooper was incredibly entertaining. He wore a giant live snake, threw money from a sword out into the audience, was decapitated LINK TO OTHER SHOW, and paraded around as a 20 foot tall monster during "Be My Frankenstein" which is worth watching too.
The highlight of the performance was Tommy Lee's flying performance over the crown during a drum solo, while riding the Cruecifly:
I can't believe how amazing the first 8 states were, and couldn't be more excited to start on the next 15
See you in Nebraska
